Irene Ghobrial, MD, is the Levine Family Chair of Preventative Cancer Therapy, Professor of Medicine, and Director of the Center or Prevention of Progression of Blood Cancer (CPOP) at Dana-Farber Cancer Institute and Harvard Medical School. Her research focuses on precursor conditions of myeloma, Monoclonal Gammopathy of Undetermined Significance and Smoldering Multiple Myeloma (MGUS and SMM). She aims to identify novel biomarkers of disease progression and develop potentially curative therapies that exploit the immune microenvironment in the bone marrow.
