Joshua Berlin
Executive Director of New Ventures and Business Development at BioCentury Inc.
Analyst and strategist with extensive expertise on how China impacts biopharma companies, investors and industry stakeholders. I am an executive director for BioCentury and lead our global business development team. In this role, I am responsible for building the company’s business and editorial opportunities with a particular focus on China and Asia.
I am a co-founder and serve on the organizing committee for the annual BioCentury-BayHelix China Healthcare Summit in Shanghai. I am also a co-founder and serve on the organizing committee for the China Healthcare Dinner with C-Level Executives, held annually in San Francisco during the week of the JP Morgan Healthcare Conference.
Prior to joining BioCentury, for 7 years I created and led the emerging markets group for Elsevier Business Intelligence (now part of Informa plc). In this role I directed our expansion into Asia markets, developed PharmAsia News, the annual PharmAsia Summit and related products, and built a customer base and large network of industry champions in the region, including China, India, Japan and Southeast Asia. I served as editorial, business development and strategy lead in Asia/emerging markets.
As a biopharma professional who has spent time on all ends of the information cycle – from analysis, to product development, to consulting – I have a unique perspective on what it takes to create differentiated content that customers value and rely upon to drive business decisions.
