Dr. Bouchkouj is a Pediatric Hematologist Oncologist. She has been a Medical Officer and a Clinical Reviewer at the Clinical Hematology Branch, Division of Clinical Evaluation and Pharmacology and Toxicology, Office of Tissues and Advanced Therapies at the FDA since September of 2016. Her professional interests include gene therapy, hematologic malignancies, benign hematology and patient advocacy engagement. Dr. Bouchkouj received her MD at the University of Damascus, Faculty of Medicine. She completed her residency in Pediatrics at the State University of New York, Downstate Medical Center, and her fellowship in Pediatric Hematology and Oncology at Children’s National Medical Center. Dr. Bouchkouj was an Instructor at Harvard Medical School. Subsequently, she was an Attending Physician of Pediatrics at MedStar Georgetown University Hospital. Dr. Bouchkouj has been an Assistant Professor of Pediatrics at Georgetown University Medical School and is currently a consulting oncologist at Children’s National Health System.

 

Dr. Bouchkouj is also a member of the Home of Moroccan Educators and Moroccan Students in North America and the Moroccan American Women Association where she serves as activist in promoting education of female professionals from Morocco and as a collaborator with physicians in Morocco.
