David S. Hong, M.D.


Dr. Hong is deputy chair of the Department of Investigational Cancer Therapeutics in the Division of Cancer Medicine and associate vice president of clinical research at the University of Texas MD Anderson Cancer Center. His research interest is the molecular basis of cancer and Phase I studies for drug development. He received his bachelor’s degree from Yale University and his medical degree from the Albert Einstein College of Medicine. He completed his clinical residency in internal medicine at Thomas Jefferson Hospital, and a clinical fellowship in medical oncology at MD Anderson Cancer Center. He is board certified in internal medicine and medical oncology.
