Dr. Ayyoub is a clinical pharmacology reviewer in the Office of Clinical Pharmacology, Division V at the U.S. Food and Drug Administration. She received a bachelor of pharmacy with honors from the University of Jordan and a doctorate in clinical pharmaceutical sciences from the College of Pharmacy with a minor in biostatistics from the College of Public Health at the University of Iowa, where she served as a key scientist in the development of Pyramax, a first anti-malarial to be granted a positive scientific opinion from the European Medicines Agency. She is also a clinical assistant professor at the University of Maryland for the purpose of precepting students in the Experiential Learning Program and serves as a member of the editorial board of the Journal of Clinical Pharmacology.
