Joanne Leppard

I was diagnosed with Stage 3 gastric cancer in November, 2016.   After undergoing neoadjuvant therapy, a partial gastrectomy and adjuvant therapy, in August, 2017, it was discovered that my cancer had spread to my lymph nodes  and was now Stage 4.   I was placed on a treatment plan of pembrolizumab, trastuzumab, capecitabine andoxaliplatin from 8/19/18 – 12/6/19.   Due to a diminishing response, I was switched to my current treatment of trastuzumab deruxtecan which remains ongoing.

On a personal note, I am married with two sons.  I am semi-retired but remain employed as an administrator of Orthopedic & Sports Associates of Long Island, a multi-specialty orthopedic practice in Woodbury, N. Y.
